Youths From Minimum Risk Juvenile Facility Attend NBA Basketball Game

November 2004

Breakaway and area churches sponsored the seven teens to attend the ALL NIGHT EVENT that started with an Orlando Magic basketball game vs. the Los Angeles Lakers, and was followed by an evangelistic youth rally with a clear presentation of the gospel and public invitation to receive Jesus Christ.

Over 4,069 students from Florida and Georgia attended the event and a recorded 393 professions of faith in Jesus Christ! The entire event was awesome, the Orlando Magic defeated the Los Angeles Lakers before a sell out crowd.

The Word of Life Rally was high energy and had every one on their feet for 30 minutes of games and giveaways. Word of Life served 1,292 pizzas to over 4,100 people all at one time, followed by non-stop action at the Wonder Works, Fun Spot, the RDV Sports Plex and eight bowling centers throughout Orlando.
